The Center is in its ten year of operation as a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization in Ohio. The mission of CCE is to empower disadvantage families toward self-sufficiency. Our approach is to provide clients, who want a hand and not a hand out, with options that will enable them to improve their quality of life and become productive citizens.

All of the programs at The Center are developed around the nationally recognized Family Support Model. The goals of the Family Support Model are to strengthen children, their families and the community.

CCE's goals are:

1. To Transform Youth through K.E.Y.S. (Keep Educating Youth all Seasons) Youth Development Program, The YouthFirst Diversion/Mentoring Program and The Child Enrichment Day Care.
2. To Strengthen Families through The Change of Heart Program; and Faith Finders Re-Entry Program.
3. To Mobilize the Community through The Pathway Partners Group; The Community Partners for a Violence Free Youngstown and The Citizens Circle.

The objective of this Family Support Program is to support the positive development of the young children, youth and the parents of Rockford Village and environs by providing services directly to young people aged 0 to 25, while also augmenting the ability of their parents to foster optimal life outcomes for their children.
